¡HICA! envisions an Alabama in which everyone has full and equal participation in our state’s civic, cultural, social, and economic life. Hispanic and immigrant families are empowered to integrate, engage, and lead their communities to reach their families’ aspirations.
International Masonry Training and Education Foundation
The International Masonry Training and Education Foundation (IMTEF), together with local Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committees (JATCs), provides training and lifelong learning to members of the International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers to help them advance their skills and careers. These programs begin with pre-job and apprenticeship training and continue throughout a craftworker’s career in the trowel trades, which includes brick, block, stone, tile, marble, terrazzo, rainscreen, refractory, concrete, and plaster.
PVA Veterans Career Program
Paralyzed Veterans of America’s Veterans Career Program, offers high-touch, one-on-one support to the veteran community to help them find meaningful employment, education or volunteer opportunities. This unique program supports the entire veteran community, but specializes in those who have significant barriers to employment, such as a catastrophic injury. The program assists with everything from resume development to instilling the confidence that is necessary in the job search.
National Skill Development Corporation
NSDC was set up as part of a national skill development mission to fulfill the growing need in India for skilled manpower across sectors and narrow the existing gap between the demand and supply of skills. There is a compelling need to launch a world-class skill development program in a mission mode that will address the challenge of imparting the skills required by a growing economy. Both the structure and the leadership of the mission must be such that the program can be scaled up quickly to cover the whole country.
Sports Skills 4 Life Skills
Sports Skills for Life Skills (SS4LS) is a sport/educational non-profit organization (NGO) in South Africa that assists primarily young cricket players from mostly marginalized communities gain access to further education.
Wesley Housing Development Corporation
Wesley Housing residents, students, and staff can use Saylor Academy courses for professional development/job training, to study for classes, and even to earn credit towards a degree.
Central Union Mission
Bexar County BiblioTech
BiblioTech, Bexar County’s Digital Library, and Saylor Academy have partnered to offer tuition-free courses to Bexar County residents. BiblioTech will also offer free proctoring services for Bexar County residents taking Saylor Direct Credit Final Exams.

Carlos Rosario International Public Charter School helps DC-area immigrant adults learn skills and earn valuable credentials, including GEDs and English proficiency.

Byte Back is one of the only organizations in the country where adults can start using a computer for the first time, earn industry-recognized tech certifications, and move into living-wage careers.
