Hello! We want to share some important changes that are taking place at the Saylor Academy.
In the coming weeks, we will be updating our website, www.saylor.org. Although our website is changing, our core mission will remain the same: we believe that barriers of cost, time, and geography should not stand in the way of access to higher education or quality, effective credentials. We will continue to strive to provide a comprehensive, effective learning experience to make that belief a demonstrable reality.
As part of the website update, we recently revised the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy for www.saylor.org and other websites controlled and operated by Saylor (the “Websites”). These documents govern your use of our Websites and include information about how we collect, manage, and share information we collect about you. By using our Websites, you agree to be bound by these documents, and we strongly encourage you to review them before you continue using our Websites.
There are a couple of important changes to the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy that we wanted to highlight for you:
- Privacy Policy: Our revised Privacy Policy clarifies and provides additional details regarding how and when we collect, use, and share the data we collect from you. It also explains how we use certain technologies to collect and analyze user data. Additionally, as we expand, we may share information in order to help us provide our services.
- Terms of Use: Please note that we have also updated our Terms of Use to clarify information. Within those updates, we have also incorporated an arbitration provision.
We encourage you to review these changes in detail by visiting the links above. By maintaining your account at www.saylor.org, you will provide consent to these updates. That said, if you have concerns or questions, leave a comment or get in touch with us directly.
Thank you for taking time to read this note, review our revised policies, and for being a part of the Saylor community! We look forward to working with you in the months and years ahead.
