Saylor Academy is very pleased to announce a new partnership with the CUNY School of Professional Studies (CUNY SPS), to provide expanded college degree completion opportunities for CUNY SPS students. CUNY SPS students will be able to kick-start or return to their studies at their own pace.

CUNY SPS and Saylor Academy both recognize that working learners require flexible education options to balance completing degree programs with work and family demands. Saylor Academy’s always-available, self-paced course model, and partnerships with leading colleges and universities that specialize in adult higher education, like CUNY SPS, specifically support working adult learners as they progress toward completing their degrees.  The tuition-free aspect of Saylor’s program allows students to start, or return to, their degree completion journey with zero financial risk.

“We are excited to partner with CUNY SPS, a leader in flexible, quality higher education” says Jeff Davidson, Executive Director of Saylor Academy. “CUNY SPS and Saylor share a commitment to flexible, affordable degree paths, understanding these are key in helping adult students succeed.  We are proud to be a part of their innovative online undergraduate degree programs.”

About CUNY School of Professional Studies

The CUNY School of Professional Studies (CUNY SPS) provides online and on-campus programs that meet the needs of adults who are looking to finish a bachelor’s degree, earn a master’s degree or certificate in a specialized field, advance in the workplace, or change careers.

Drawing on CUNY’s nationally and internationally renowned faculty and practitioners, as well as industry and education partners, the School’s programs provide opportunities for personal growth, job mobility, greater civic participation, and new ways to advance knowledge.

The School’s growth has been remarkable. Launching twenty-two degrees since 2006, enrollment has risen by more than 30% in the last four years to 3,300 students in the credit-bearing programs. CUNY SPS serves thousands more who are enrolled in our non-degree and grant-funded workforce development programs. In addition, CUNY SPS has a growing and active Alumni network and has established the CUNY SPS Foundation, which offers multiple scholarship opportunities to our current students.
